Fast and Accurate Keyword Spotting System
Lenčéš, Marián ; Karafiát, Martin (referee) ; Schwarz, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with fast and accurate detection of keywords from audio records. The aim of was to study possibilities of word detection and to create several types of language models. These were then to be compared to each other. We focus here on the detection of keywords from English spoken audio records.
3D Modeling in Photomodeler Scanner Environment
Ráczová, Gabriela ; Opatřilová, Irena (referee) ; Hanzl, Vlastimil (advisor)
Purpose of this thesis is to create a 3D model of the bridge between buildings of Faculty of Civil Enineering on the street Rybkova. The 3D model was created by method close range photogrammetry. Ground control points were determined intersection and the coordinates were calculated. Photos of building were taken by camera Nikon COOLPIX 810. For processing of the photos were use a program PhotoModeler Scanner.
Augmented Reality for Flight Simulator Based on Background Keying
Vahalík, Tomáš ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design of a method for determination of the view direction within a scene and an exact registration of a camera picture with a model of the scene for background keying. The methods for an image description by interest points are parts of this thesis, especially the methods SURF, FAST and Brief. A demo application, which tests are described here as well, presents a correspondence determination between an input image from a camera and a created model of the scene. The main use of this work rests in augmented reality together with determination of the user's view direction.
Automatic calculation of relative orientation of two cameras
Adámek, Daniel ; Nováček, Petr (referee) ; Klečka, Jan (advisor)
To determine a relative orientation of two cameras, it is necessary to understand wide range of fields. Therefore, this thesis showes principles of basic methods of detection and description of keypoints in an image as well as methods of matching these keypoints. The paper also provides brief summary of epipolar geometry and linear triangulation. C++ implementation of presented theory was proposed and its disadvantages were discussed.
Ventilation of nearly Zero Energy Building
Frčka, Lukáš ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on nearly zero energy buildings, which are a mandatory part of construction of the buildings in Czech republic after 2020. It also deals with HVAC and its design as part of these buildings. The theoretical part deals with legal and technical regulations and possible savings in HVAC systems. The computational part is focused on two solution of HVAC systems in given object. The project part is about the given object, which is otevřená zahrada Brno. This building was founded by Nadace Partnerství s.r.o.. This third part of diploma thesis deals with the quality of indoor microclimate and evaluation of the heat recovery system effiency, which is applied in local HVAC unit.
Region Detectors and Descriptors in Image
Žilka, Filip ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with an important part of computer vision field. Main focus of this thesis is on feature detectors and descriptors in an image. Throughout the thesis the simplest feature detectors like Moravec detector will be presented, building up to more complex detectors like MSER or FAST. The purpose of feature descriptors is in a mathematical description of these points. We begin with the oldest ones like SIFT and move on to newest and best performing descriptors like FREAK or ORB. The major objective of the thesis is comparison of presented methods on licence plate localization task.

Biľová, Oľga ; Štipl, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Marková, Dagmar (referee)
The thesis will be discussing the concept of hunger strikes, that in the world, especially in Indian subcontinent serve as the way of political weapon. The work is divided into four parts linked with each other. The first chapter presents the basic division of hunger strikes' causes. From fasts, that can play the role of healthy or religious act to a hunger strike as the social protest against repression from higher posts of hierarchy. The second and also the key chapter presents the most important Indian thinker throughout the 20th century, M. K. Gandhi, who is known by his unprecedented number of fasts and hunger strikes, mainly with political background. He had created and moreover incorporated his own philosophy, which is also included into his hunger strike as a non-violent weapon. The third and at the same time the vastest chapter of my work contains the most interesting Indian hunger strike examples after Gandhi's death. The last chapter briefly informs about the complete hunger strike transformation and depicts the most outstanding hunger strikes' mistakes and reasons of failure consequences.

In the theoretical part, the bachelor's thesis refers to fasting procedure, its origin and its impact on psyche. It presents the results of the research on the impact of experimental fasting on psyche. The empirical part of this bachelor's thesis was based on qualitative research. Unstructured interviews were conducted with four women following cleansing fasting procedures and three women suffering of mental anorexia. This research responds to issues of motivation for fasting and starving, the reaction of other people and behaving towards other people. It was concluded by this investigation that women who follow cleansing fasting procedure and women suffering of mental anorexia evince some similar signs in their motivation however they differ in many of them. The theme of weight loss appeared in both groups of interviewed women accept one as a motive leading to starving diet. Furthermore the research reveals the urge to inspire other people to follow the starving diet. This fact does not encounter positive acceptance. On the contrary this causes strong negative response to both fasting and starving.
